How do I get signed up?

It's easy, click on the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page, select the website you want to sign up for, fill out the appropriate online form and you're done.

Who is DrivePath?

DrivePath Host Solutions is the company that hosts the VFW Website Solution Platform. Please take note of this company name this is who will invoice you for your annual hosting fees.

What is the Grant provided by National?

VFW National is very excited about the VFW Website Solution Program.  So much, that they have allocated a grant to pay for the first year of hosting.  The grant is available to the first 4000 applicants.  Don't miss out, request your site today to assure you get your first year for FREE.

Do you have training / support?

YES YES YES.  We understand that you may have some reservations due to a lack of computer skills, however, do NOT let that stop you.  We offer an online Webinar EVERY Tuesday at 2:00pm (eastern) where we train you how to manage the content of your site.  You do NOT need to have any web design or html skills; you only need to know how to use a computer keyboard and mouse.  We will show you the rest.  PLUS, we offer phone support 40 hours a week.  If you have a technical question, please call our support line at 248.232.1293.

Is the Grant available for Districts?

No, the grant is only available to VFW Posts & Departments AND AUX Posts & Departments.  However, this does NOT mean that a district can get their own site.  They most certainly CAN.  They simply need to pay for the hosting for the first year.

What does the yearly hosting fee get me?

The website design and development is our FREE gift to you.  This is our way of saying THANK YOU for all that you have done for us.  However,  we can not pay for your hosting.  Hosting is where your site sits on a server in a datacenter so the world can have access to it.  Your website is not by itself however.  Instead, your site is part of a bigger platform that was created specifically for the VFW.  This allows for specific data to be synced from National all the way down to the post.

What data is synced.

This is a good question.  The EVENTS CALENDAR and the NEWS sections of your website shows more than just your information.  In an effort to try and streamline the communication from National all the way to the post, we needed to build a tool that synced the data.  Before our system, it took up to 90 days for data from National to reach the post level.  Today, any information that National puts on its site in the way of News or Events; this information is automatically displayed on all the Departments, District and Post sites in our system.  The same process exists from Depart to District to Post, and from District to Post.  It is clear how efficient the communication process has become.

What if I wanted to have more than one site administrator?

You can have as many site admins as you like.  Plus, you can limit, or dictate, which pages a specific admin has access to.

How can I use the site to bring in income to our post?

There are two revenue generating tools built in to the system.  The first is a Donation Button.  Here, when someone clicks the Donate Button, they are taken to a page where they can enter their credit card number and select the amount of money they would like to donate.  Their credit card is processed for that amount and withing a day or two, the money placed in the bank account of the post.  The second feature is what we call "Site Sponsors".  If used correctly, this feature can bring in a lot of money for the post.  Each sponsor gets their own dedicated page, and if the option for a user name and password so they can edit their page when ever they want.  Compared to traditional online advertising, this offers way more value to the sponsor.

What is the Process?

Here is an overview of how the process works and the time it takes to get your new site up and running.

ORDER ONLINE

You can place your order directly from our site.  This takes about 5 minutes.

GRANT APPROVAL

Usually withing 24 hours, you will hear back from National with your Grant Approval.

DRIVEPATH STARTS SETUP

DrivePath (the host provider) starts setting up the site. The set up process takes about 2 weeks.

NOTIFICATION

Once your site is ready, we will contact you with login information and important training times.

We understand that many of you may not be that computer savy.  Fear Not!  We have taken this into consideration and offer all the tech support you need.

Hands on Training

We are here for you.  If you have a question, simply call us and we will walk you through your issue over the phone.  If necessary, we can do a screen share to assure we are on the same page.
